Actor Jayam Ravi’s personal life once again became a talking point after his recent public appearance. The Ponniyin Selvan star visited the famous Tirupati Balaji Temple on Monday, accompanied by his rumoured girlfriend Kenisha Francis.
The duo sought divine blessings ahead of the grand launch of Ravi’s new production house in Chennai, scheduled for Tuesday.
Ravi chose a simple traditional look, dressed in a white shirt and dhoti, while Kenisha opted for an elegant pastel green silk salwar suit paired with a pink dupatta. Their pictures from the temple visit quickly went viral across social media.
Amidst the buzz, Ravi’s estranged wife Aarti Ravi shared a cryptic message on Instagram, seemingly directed at the actor’s public outing with Kenisha. Her post read: “You can’t fool God. You might fool others. You might even fool yourself. But you can’t fool God.” With divorce proceedings between Ravi and Aarti still underway, the timing of her story added fuel to ongoing speculation.
Ravi and Kenisha’s frequent appearances together have only strengthened rumours of a serious relationship. In early July, they were seen at a high-profile event in Chennai, maintaining a discreet but noticeable presence. Later, they faced criticism for meeting Sri Lanka’s Foreign Affairs and Tourism Minister as part of a tourism initiative – an interaction that triggered outrage among Tamil activists.
The couple has also drawn backlash online, with some netizens accusing Kenisha of being a factor in the breakdown of Ravi’s marriage – a claim indirectly hinted at by Aarti in now-deleted social media posts.
Despite the controversy, Ravi himself once addressed Kenisha in a heartfelt letter, which he later deleted. In it, he described her as a “lifeline of support” during his darkest phase. He recounted how she stood by him the night he walked out of his home “barefoot, in a night suit,” stripped of his belongings and dignity. “She didn’t hesitate, she didn’t flinch. She simply showed up. She is a beautiful companion, and I assure you this – she carries light,” he wrote.
With Ravi’s marriage to Aarti caught in a bitter legal tussle and his growing closeness with Kenisha making headlines, the actor’s personal life continues to remain under the spotlight – almost as much as his film career.
