Youth Dies After Surgery in Gorakhpur: The death of 25-year-old youth Abhishek Madheshiya after an operation at Anandlok Hospital in Gorakhpur created a stir. The family accused the doctors of negligence. There was an uproar in the hospital after the death of a young man who was preparing for sub-inspector recruitment, the police registered a case and started investigation.
A tragic case has come to light from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a 25-year-old youth died after an operation. The family members allege that their son lost his life due to the negligence of the hospital doctors. After the incident, there was an uproar in the hospital and seeing the situation worsening, the doctors fled from the spot. On receiving the information, police reached the spot and pacified the matter. Police have registered a case against the doctors on the father’s complaint and started investigation.
Condition deteriorated after gallbladder operation
This incident is being reported from Anandlok Hospital located in Gorakhnath police station area of Gorakhpur. The deceased youth has been identified as 25-year-old Abhishek Madheshiya. Abhishek’s father Surendra Madheshiya told the police that his son was suffering from gallstones. For this reason, he was admitted to Anandlok Hospital for operation on Tuesday.
Family members say that after the operation, suddenly Abhishek’s condition started deteriorating. He died within some time. The family alleges that the doctors of the hospital neither gave correct information on time nor informed about the worsening of the condition.

Accused of hiding the news of death
The victim’s father says that the information about his son’s condition worsening after the operation was hidden from him. Even when he died, the doctors did not tell the family immediately. Later the hospital staff informed him about the death of his son. On hearing this, the family got enraged and a commotion started in the hospital. It is being told that meanwhile the doctor left the hospital. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and calmed down the matter by convincing the family members.
Suspicion increased due to staff talk
The father of the deceased told the police that when he had reached the hospital for his son’s operation, two staff present there had told him a strange thing. He had said, “You are laughing now, you will have to cry after some time.” At that time he did not understand the meaning of this, but after the death of his son, he suspects that there was serious negligence in the operation.
The family members allege that the operation was deliberately carried out in a wrong manner in the hospital, due to which their son lost his life.
Inspector was preparing for recruitment
Abhishek Madheshiya was a resident of ward number 16 Bhagwanpur of PPganj police station area of Gorakhpur. His father Surendra runs a tea shop in Madheshiya town. He told that Abhishek was the eldest among his five children and was very fast in studies.
Abhishek was preparing for Inspector recruitment for a long time. Recently he had given the written examination and the family was confident that he would be selected. But his death after the operation has left the entire family in deep shock.
Police started investigation
Gorakhnath police station in-charge Vijay Pratap Singh said that on the complaint of the deceased’s father, a case has been registered against the doctors of the hospital. The body of the youth has been sent for post-mortem, so that the real cause of death can be known. Police say that further action will be taken after the post mortem report comes. At present the entire matter is being investigated.
