Yogi government will organize divisional level employment fairs in five districts in the beginning of 2026. One lakh youth will get employment through private companies. The government’s aim is to provide local employment and stop migration through skill development mission.
Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM), run under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has emerged as an effective medium of employment generation in the state. Through the coordinated model of skill training, participation of industries and job fairs, the Yogi government has taken concrete steps towards making lakhs of youth self-reliant by connecting them with employment.
Divisional level mega employment fairs in five districts in the beginning of 2026
Taking this initiative of the Yogi government forward, divisional level mega employment fairs are being organized in five districts of the state in the beginning of the year 2026. Big private sector companies will participate in these fairs and about one lakh youth will be provided employment on the spot.
The main objective of the government is to provide local employment and stop migration.
State Minister of State for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Kapil Dev Aggarwal said that the aim of the Yogi government is to provide employment to the youth at the local level, stop migration and take the state towards one trillion dollar economy. He said that under the guidance of the Chief Minister, skill training is being prepared as per the needs of the industries, so that the youth can get direct employment after training.
100 companies in every employment fair, target of 20 thousand appointments
The Minister of State said that on an average 100 companies will participate in each job fair organized this month. The target is to provide employment to about 20 thousand youth in every fair. In this way, a total of one lakh jobs will be created through the five job fairs. Candidates from many districts of the respective divisions will participate in these fairs.
Till now 4.32 lakh youth have got jobs from 186 employment fairs.
From the financial year 2017-18 till now, 186 mega employment fairs have been organized at the district and divisional level. More than 4.32 lakh youth have got employment through these employment fairs, which shows the success of the employment-centric policies of the Yogi government.
Special employment strategy for rural youth
Yogi government has also paid special attention to connecting rural youth with employment. So far, employment has been provided to more than 2.26 lakh rural youth through 1,624 employment fairs organized under Deendayal Upadhyaya Gramin Kaushalya Yojana.
Employment campaign did not stop even during Covid period
Even when offline activities were closed during the Covid infection, the Yogi government continued the process of employment generation. More than 10,000 youth were provided employment during that period through online employment fairs.
Record employment on World Youth Skills Day
In the current financial year, on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, employment fairs were organized in 74 districts of the state. About 21,000 youth were successfully placed through these fairs. The state government believes that skill training related to the needs of industries is the basis of permanent employment generation.
Initiative towards self-reliant youth, strong Uttar Pradesh
This coordinated model adopted under the Skill Development Mission under the guidance of Yogi Government is making the youth self-reliant. This initiative is not only increasing the economic strength of the state, but is also giving new dimensions of employment and development to Uttar Pradesh.
