Under the Kisan Pathshala 8.0 of the Yogi government, training was given to 6.98 lakh farmers in 10 days in the Rabi season 2025-26. The objective of the program is to connect farmers with modern farming, innovation and income enhancing methods.
Lucknow. On the instructions of the Yogi government, regular training is being given to the farmers of the state to connect them with modern farming and innovation in agriculture. This year also during the Rabi season, special training programs are being organized for the farmers under the aegis of the Agriculture Department, so that they can increase their production and income by adopting new technologies.
Kisan Pathshala 8.0 Rabi 2025-26 launched
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Kisan Pathshala 8.0 (Rabi 2025-26) on December 12 from Daulatpur village of Padmashree farmer Ramsaran Verma in Barabanki district. This training program will continue till December 29. So far, 6.98 lakh farmers have been given training in just 10 days.
Nearly 7 lakh farmers got training in 10 days
Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi said that instructions were given to the district and divisional offices to organize the Kisan Pathshala program in 21 thousand gram panchayats of the state. In this sequence, a total of 6720 Gram Panchayat level Kisan Pathshalas and seminars were organized from 12th December to 21st December.
Large participation of male and female farmers
Of the 6.98 lakh farmers who were given training within 10 days, 4.37 lakh were male farmers and 2.61 lakh were female farmers. In these schools, farmers were given information about the schemes of the Agriculture Department as well as related departments and the innovations taking place in agricultural universities, research institutes and agricultural science centres.
Nearly two crore farmers have been trained since 2017
According to the Agriculture Department, under the Kisan Pathshala programme, training has been provided to more than two crore farmers since 2017-18. The main objective of this program is to prepare farmers for modern farming and take concrete steps towards doubling their income.
Emphasis on modern farming, natural agriculture and increasing income
Under this initiative of Yogi government, farmers are being given practical training on subjects like modern farming techniques, natural farming, crop management, crop protection, soil health, horticulture, government agricultural schemes, ways of producing more at less cost. With this, farmers can become self-reliant and increase their income through better production.
