Yogi government is modernizing the transport infrastructure of Uttar Pradesh under Vision-2047. High-speed networks, regional connectivity, orbital corridors and last mile connectivity will boost trade, investment and employment.
Lucknow. With the aim of making Uttar Pradesh ‘Uttam Pradesh’, the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is continuously working towards realizing Vision-2047. Under the vision of ‘Developed Uttar Pradesh’, the government is paying special attention to making the transport infrastructure modern, strong and in accordance with the future needs.
Focus on regional mobility and last mile connectivity
The main objective of the state government is to connect cities, towns and industrial areas with fast, safe and world-class transportation facilities. For this, priority is being given to strengthening regional connectivity as well as ensuring last mile connectivity, so that common citizens can get easy and reliable travel facilities.
High-speed transportation network will provide new speed
To accelerate regional connectivity, the government is preparing a comprehensive blueprint of high-speed transport network. Under this, work is being done on the development of high-speed rail network to connect major cities and economic centres. Keeping in mind the future needs, a plan is being made to systematically develop it in an area of more than one thousand kilometers in the state. With the implementation of this network, travel time will reduce, transportation will become easier and economic activities will also get a new impetus.
Emphasis on regional transport system and corridor development
Strengthening the regional transport system is an important part of the state’s urban expansion and rejuvenation plan. Under this, an action plan is being prepared for the development of expanded transportation network in an area of about 1500 kilometers. Besides, emphasis is also being laid on the construction of various orbital corridors, so that better connectivity can be established between cities and traffic pressure in urban areas can be reduced.
Orbital Corridor to strengthen industry and logistics
These orbital corridors will better connect industrial areas, logistics hubs and urban centres. This will strengthen the economy of the state and business activities will accelerate. In this sequence, focus is also being placed on intercity hyperloop, operation and expansion of metro rail projects in major cities and expanding the water metro network.
Better connectivity to boost business and employment
Strong regional connectivity will give a new direction to business and industry in the state. Development of transport networks and corridors will provide industries with easy access to raw materials, markets and labor force. This will encourage investment and create new employment opportunities. Yogi government believes that strong transport infrastructure is the backbone of economic development, hence these schemes are being taken forward according to long-term needs.
Last mile connectivity made the primary goal
The state government’s strategy is not limited to only big projects. Keeping in mind the everyday needs of common citizens, special attention is being given to last mile connectivity. Work is being done on the development of transport modes to connect regional transport systems to urban and semi-urban areas.
Modern transport system is necessary for overall development
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has a clear view that the overall development of the state is not possible without a strong, safe and modern transport system. Keeping Vision-2047 at the center, regional connectivity and last mile connectivity are being developed in an integrated manner. Through these efforts, concrete steps are being taken towards establishing Uttar Pradesh as a strong and developed state not only at the national but also at the global level.
