This short film alerts common citizens about new methods of cyber fraud and gives the message of taking right steps instead of fear.

The Chief Minister wrote in his address that mobiles and computers have made life easier, but with it the challenges of cyber crime have also increased. The government is continuously taking steps to deal with them. He said that before the year 2017, there were only 2 cyber crime stations in the state, whereas today cyber crime stations and cyber help desks are active in all 75 districts.

Police never arrest on video call

The Chief Minister warned that cyber criminals use false words like “digital arrest” to scare people and extort money. He clearly said that the police or any government agency does not make arrests or ask for money through video calls, WhatsApp or social media.

Be careful while using social media

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that photos, videos and locations shared on social media can become weapons for cyber criminals. He appealed not to share personal information, bank details or OTP with anyone.

In case of cyber crime, immediately complain on 1930

The Chief Minister said that if cyber crime occurs despite precautions, then immediately inform on helpline number 1930. The sooner the complaint is made, the greater the chances of getting the money back. He especially emphasized on making senior citizens aware.
