‘Yogi government has changed the picture of UP, crops are getting fair prices’- farmers said in Krishi Chaupal

In the sixth phase of Krishi Chaupal in Buchhakhedi, 450+ farmers appreciated the works of Yogi government. Increase in sugarcane price by Rs 30, electricity-water facilities, security and MSP payment was described as a big achievement. Krishi Chaupal will now continue in Muzaffarnagar.

Shamli. On Monday, the sixth phase of Krishi Chaupal was organized in Butchakhedi village, in which more than 450 farmers from nearby villages participated. Referring to the positive changes in their lives, sugarcane farmers gave credit to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath government. He expressed gratitude for the increase of Rs 30 in sugarcane price and said that the government is providing facilities like electricity, water and market for the produce. Procurement is being done at MSP at government purchasing centers and payment is being received within 48 hours. Farmers said that UP is now being recognized with a positive outlook in every field.

Fair prices for crops, farmers are becoming prosperous

Farmers told that earlier their problems were not paid attention to, but after 2017, Yogi government took a big step in the interest of farmers and waived off loans worth Rs 36 thousand crores. The schemes of the Central Government were implemented with transparency and the State Government strengthened the farmers with new schemes. Farmers are living better and happier lives by getting direct benefits of these policies.

Farmers are getting electricity facility without discrimination

Farmer Master Gulab said that the Yogi government is providing electricity equally to all the 75 districts. With this, farming has become easier than before. He said that once farmers used to face situations like suicide, but now farming has become a profitable deal. Farmers are doing farming safely and fearlessly.

Security crisis before 2017, now there is fear among criminals

Farmer Sadiq Hasan said that earlier cattle were taken out of the houses and women could not go out after the evening. Looting used to be common, but now the situation has completely changed – people can travel safely even at 12 o’clock in the night. He said that now criminals are afraid in Uttar Pradesh and common citizens are fearless.

Price increase in honor of sugarcane farmers

Shahid Chaudhary said that respect for sugarcane farmers in Western UP has special significance. Yogi government has further increased this respect by increasing the price of sugarcane by Rs 30 per quintal. The government has provided security, resources, better roads and markets to the farmers. He said that Chief Minister Yogi is continuously striving for the prosperity of the farmers.

Large number of farmers present in Krishi Choupal

Many farmers including Govardhan Chauhan, Munavwar Chauhan, Top Singh, Dr. Ajay, Ankur Sharma, Master Dharampal, Virendra Chairman, Radha, Sanjay, Nathi, Pankaj, Mukesh Sharma, Deepak Pawar, Rashid Chauhan, Sarveshwar Sharma, Master Gulab, Ankur were present in Krishi Chaupal.

Yogi government increased sugarcane price by Rs 30

For crushing season 2025-26-

  • Early variety: increased from ₹370 to ₹400 per quintal
  • Common variety: increased from ₹360 to ₹390 per quintal

Due to this increase, sugarcane farmers are getting additional payment of Rs 3000 crore. This is the fourth sugarcane price increase during the tenure of Yogi government.

Krishi Chaupal in four districts from 1-11 December, now in Muzaffarnagar

Krishi Chaupal has been organized in Baghpat, Hapur and Shamli. Now farmer dialogue will be held in Muzaffarnagar on Wednesday and Thursday.

  • 11 December: Dahod village
