Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath that the alleged Ram Temple donation theft has deeply hurt the sentiments of devotees. With this, CM Yogi also said that opposition try to use this whole case to defame Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya and the belief system of Hindus.
Yogi Says Devotees’ Faith Was Hurt
During the recent media interaction on Wednesday, CM Yogi accepted the emotional hurt this case has done to the devotees.
“The Ayodhya incident has certainly hurt the faith of all of us, of Ram devotees like us. The Ram temple trust is an independent body and the government has no authority to interfere in its affairs. The trust requested a probe and the state government constituted an SIT. As soon as the SIT report came, action was initiated,” he said.
CM Yogi said that the Ram Temple trust works independently, however, when the trust asked for investigation UP government immediately responded. CM also mentioned that immediately SIT was formed and actions were taken after the investigation.
Eight Arrested in the Donation Theft Case
CM Yogi Adityanath also said that at least six people have been involved in the theft have been arrested, while two others who helped them to steal the donation have also been arrested.
He also mention the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra, and said that two senior members of the trust resigned on the moral ground.
“Along with the arrests, two resignations have also taken place on moral grounds (former Trust general secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra). But using this incident to defame Ayodhya, the Ram Janmabhoomi and the faith of Hindus is not justified,” he said.
SIT Probe Led to FIR and Arrests
The information of the donation theft came for the first week of June, after the allegations UP government formed a SIT to investigate the matter. After the investigation of SIT, an FIR was registered on 25 June, where eight people arrested. This eight people were involved in the counting process of Ram Temple donation.
While accepting the theft, UP CM Yogi Adityanath also targeted opposition parties, especially Samajwadi Party for making this a political issue despite their own history. He made sure that the responsible for theft will be dealt with legally but this incident should be use to malign and defame Ayodhya and Ram Temple.
