Team India in Year 2025: The year 2025 was a memorable one for Indian cricket. This year was going to achieve new heights. Was the creator of new dimensions of success. There were some things which were repeated and some were achieved for the first time and India registered its name in history. The year 2025 will always be remembered for 7 success stories of Indian cricket.
Indian men’s cricket team did 5 out of 7 wonders
Now the question is, what were those 7 exploits for which the year 2025 has become memorable. So it starts with the ICC Champions Trophy won in the year 2025. In March 2025, the Indian team became the champion of the Champions Trophy under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. This is the first time since 2013 that the Indian men’s cricket team captured the Champions Trophy.
After the ICC Champions Trophy, the Indian men’s cricket team also won the Asia Cup title in the year 2025. India had captured the title by defeating Pakistan in the final of Asia Cup 2025.
Between winning the Champions Trophy and Asia Cup, the Indian men’s cricket team also toured England. Where he kept the host team deprived of victory by drawing the 5 test match series 2-2.
The success of the Indian men’s cricket team seemed to increase further when it won the 5 T20 series against South Africa. This was the 14th consecutive T20 series which Team India won. Out of those 14 T20 series, India won 9 series at home. With this he broke Australia’s record of winning 8 consecutive T20 series at home.
The dominance of Indian men’s cricket was also visible on the ICC rankings, where as the year went on, the power of RO-KO i.e. Rohit-Virat was seen. Rohit Sharma remained at number 1 position in ICC ODI rankings. Whereas Virat Kohli is at number 2 in the latest ODI rankings.

If India’s men’s team performed wonders in cricket, then the women’s team also made no less noise. In fact, she created history by winning the Women’s ODI World Cup for the first time. The Indian women’s cricket team won the ODI World Cup by defeating Australia in the final under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur.
This year, the amazing performance of Indian women was also seen in the Blind T20 World Cup. India also emerged as the champion of this tournament.
