Yashasvi Jaiswal admitted to hospital after SMAT match in Pune

New Delhi: India batter Yashasvi Jaiswal was rushed to a hospital with acute stomach pain after participation in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Super League match for Mumbai against Rajasthan in Pune.

Jaiswal scored 15 off 16 balls but suffered from cramps in Mumbai’s three-wicket win. As pain intensified during the match, he was admitted to Aditya Birla Hospital in Pimpri-Chinchwad, according to multiple online reports.

Ultrasound (USG) and CT scans confirmed that the 23-year-old was suffering from acute gastroenteritis and he was dministered intravenous medication.

He has been advised to continue this medication and take adequate rest and could be away from action for a while after helping Mumbai chase down a 217-run target.
