Yash Champions India’s Storytelling Legacy at ‘Ramayana’ Premiere in Los Angeles

Kannada superstar Yash, set to portray Lankesh in the upcoming epic ‘Ramayana’, recently spoke passionately about India’s rich storytelling heritage.

His remarks came during the grand premiere of ‘Ramayana’ at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

Accompanying director Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra, and co-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, Yash walked the red carpet with his wife, Radhika Pandit, to a roaring welcome from fans. Addressing the global audience, Yash emphasized the significance of sharing ‘Ramayana’ with the world.

“Where you start can never define how far you can go,” Yash stated, expressing pride in his roots within the Kannada and Indian film industries. He highlighted how ‘Ramayana’ is more than just a story; it’s a centuries-old tradition.

“In our country, we just don’t tell the story, we remember it, and we pass it down for generations to come. And this story has travelled for thousands of years,” he explained. Yash expressed hope that the film would convey India’s cultural and heritage values globally.

Producer Namit Malhotra acknowledged Yash’s dual role, not just as the film’s star but also as a producing partner through Monster Mind Creations. Malhotra credited Yash’s conviction and his own vision for bringing the project together. ‘Ramayana’ is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026.
