Yadav inaugurates and launches ₹207 crore development projects in Mahidpur

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 19 development projects worth ₹207.57 crore in Mahidpur of Ujjain district.
The projects include the Samakota Barrage, sub-health centre buildings, college infrastructure, and school-related works, according to official information.

Addressing a public gathering, Yadav highlighted the cultural and historical significance of Mahidpur and the surrounding region. He referred to ongoing efforts to promote sites such as Dongla, where a modern observatory has been established, and spoke about infrastructure projects linked to preparations for the 2028 Simhastha event. He also said a proposed four-lane road passing through Dongla is expected to improve regional connectivity.

The Chief Minister outlined several state and central government initiatives related to housing, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure. He said the state government is working to expand irrigation coverage, improve rural infrastructure, and continue welfare schemes for farmers and women. He also cited procurement measures and support programmes aimed at the agricultural sector.

During his speech, Yadav also criticised the Congress party and commented on its leadership and political performance. The remarks were made alongside discussions on development projects, government schemes, and future plans for irrigation and infrastructure expansion in the region.
