Xiaomi has come up with their latest and greatest SUV, which is also called the YU7 and is basically the SUV version of their sedan, the SU7. It has an estimated range of 830 kms and just when the brand opened its order book, it has garnered 289,000 bookings in the span of an hour.
The vehicle is priced from RMB 253,500 (around Rs 30.32 lakh) and goes all the way up to RMB 329,900 (around Rs 39.34 lakh). This is incredible pricing considering the amount of performance, tech and battery range it is offering. It will be available in three variants-Standard, Pro and Max and one can have up to 681 bhp and 866 Nm of torque in the top of the line Max model which also comes with AWD. It will be able to 0-100 kmph in a mere 3.23 seconds and it undercuts most of its competitors.
Xiaomi is also offering a discount of around 66,000 yuan to customers who will book the vehicle before July 31st. The YU7 is a looker of an SUV and has quite a striking design. It rivals the likes of the BYD Sealion 7 which also is a highly popular EV in the Chinese market.
There is currently no news of Xiaomi entering the Indian market but this would be a great contender in the luxury EV space and would appeal to quite a lot of people.
