Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to expand its flagship smartphone lineup with the upcoming Xiaomi 18 model. The device will join the recently launched Xiaomi 18 Pro series, which includes the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max and Xiaomi 18 Pro.
While the company has been tight-lipped about the upcoming device, leaks and rumours have already painted a clear picture of what the device could look like. Sharing more information about the device, a tipster recently claimed that it may house dual 200 MP sensors at the back and might draw its power from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming Xiaomi 18.
Xiaomi 18: Specs (Expected)
According to the post by tipster Panda is Bald on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo the Xiaomi 18 may house a 6.4-inch OLED display and it may also support 1.5K resolution. Under the hood, the handset is reported to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. It’s also anticipated to house 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. The device may also get shipped with HyperOS 4, an Android 17-based skin.
The upcoming Xiaomi 18 is also tipped to come packed with a 7,200mAh cell, which would be supported by 100W wired and wireless charging. Furthermore, the device is also said to sport a triple-camera setup at the back. It might include a 200MP 1/1.28-inch main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. For selfie and video calls the device may sport a 50MP front sensor. Rumours also suggest that the device may also have IP68 and IP69 certifications to keep it protected against water and dust.
Xiaomi 18: Launch timeline and price (Expected)
While Xiaomi has not yet officially announced anything, the handset is expected to make a home debut in December, followed by a global launch. If the company follows its usual launch timeline, then the Xiaomi 18 could launch in the Indian market by March 2027. Do note some tipsters also suggested that the device could remain China specific and may not launch globally.
Reports suggest that the device could be priced close to Rs 1 lakh due to the ongoing shortage of memory chips at the global stage. These prices are not official and may change at the time of launch
