The Xiaomi 17 and the 17 Ultra were launched in the global markets on Saturday (Feb 28). Both models come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, Leica-tuned cameras, and an Android 16-based HyperOS 3.

Xiaomi 17 Specifications
The Xiaomi 17 features a 6.3-inch OLED display protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass, offering a resolution of 2656 x 1220 pixels with a 460 ppi pixel density. It supports up to a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and delivers up to 3500 nits of peak brightness, along with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The device measures 8.06 mm in dimensions and weighs 191grams.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device packs a 6330 mAh battery that supports 100W HyperCharge wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
For optics, the Xiaomi 17 has a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.67 aperture and 23mm focal length, a 50MP telephoto lens with an f/2.0 aperture, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and a 102-degree field of view. For optics, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra gets a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. Upfront, the handset has a 50MP camera sensor. It supports 8K video recording at 30fps and 4K Dolby Vision video recording at up to 120fps.
