The Xiaomi 17 and the 17 Ultra were launched in the global markets on Saturday (Feb 28). Both models come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, Leica-tuned cameras, and an Android 16-based HyperOS 3.

Xiaomi 17 Specifications
The Xiaomi 17 features a 6.3-inch OLED display protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass, offering a resolution of 2656 x 1220 pixels with a 460 ppi pixel density. It supports up to a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and delivers up to 3500 nits of peak brightness, along with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The device measures 8.06 mm in dimensions and weighs 191grams.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device packs a 6330 mAh battery that supports 100W HyperCharge wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
For optics, the Xiaomi 17 has a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.67 aperture and 23mm focal length, a 50MP telephoto lens with an f/2.0 aperture, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and a 102-degree field of view. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,060 nits peak brightness. The device comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage.
For optics, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra gets a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. Upfront, the handset has a 50MP camera sensor. It supports 8K video recording at 30fps and 4K Dolby Vision video recording at up to 120fps.
