Written in front of the houses of this city of Rajasthan – ‘This house is for sale’, the reason will dry up life !! .. – News Himachali News Himachali

There is a city 70 km from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan- Sambar. It is also called ‘Salt Lake City’. Salt water makes a lot of salt here. Apart from this, this place is also famous due to foreign birds.

If you go to this city now, you will definitely see a post in front of every house. And it must be written on it- ‘This house is for sale’. These posters are pointing to a serious water crisis in the area. It is difficult for people to live here without drinking water.

According to the report of Virendra Singh Shekhawat and Harsha Kumari of NDTV, the condition is that many houses have been written outside the same road- ‘This house is available for sale.’ Such posters can be seen at many houses in ward 22 and 23 around the Charbhuja temple of Sambhar. Some of these houses are more than 200 years old.

BJP councilor Gautam Singhania of ward number 23 told NDTV that he does not have a water tank for the last 7 years, which should supply water to our homes through a pipeline. About 200 people of the ward have decided together that it is better to migrate from here. If there is no water, then what does it mean to stay here?

Singhania said,

We have put up posters for sale in every street. They are located on about 150 houses. For the last 2 years, people have been continuously migrating from here. In this summer, the water crisis has reached the peak, but the water department has no concern about it.

The BJP councilor said that there were about 3500 people in Sambhar, but after the migration, this number has now increased to 1700. Those who are left are also planning to leave from here soon.

Manju Sharma, a resident of Sambhar, said that he has removed half his goods. His family is going to stay in a rented house on the outskirts of the city because there is no water here.

Sambhar falls in Phulera assembly constituency of Rajasthan. Congress MLA Vidyadhar Chaudhary said that his area is getting only half of the water from Bisalpur dam. They said,

We were getting 18 megalaater daily (MLD) water but currently only 9 MLD is being received. This has created a crisis of water. This crisis is not only limited to Sambhar, but has spread to Narayana, Phulera Sambhar, Renwal and 163 rural villages in the area.

The MLA also said that he raised this issue in the assembly on 31 January. In response, Minister Kanhaiya Lal Chaudhary said that due to the old pipelines, only half of the amount of water prescribed is being supplied to the area. The pipeline cannot raise much water pressure. He informed that the work of laying a transmission pipeline from Surajpura to Sambar is going on, which will be completed by June 15. After this, Phulera assembly constituency will start getting water once in 24 hours or once in 48 hours.
