The Largest Edition Yet
Building on the success of its previous editions, WFI 2025 is set to be the most expansive so far, with participation from over 90 countries, more than 2,000 exhibitors, and tens of thousands of stakeholders from across the food ecosystem.
According to officials, the event will be “one of the biggest ever congregations of senior government dignitaries, investors, business leaders of major global and domestic food companies and all relevant stakeholders.”
It will serve as a single platform for producers, food processors, equipment manufacturers, logistics players, cold chain operators, technology providers, startups, innovators, and food retailers to highlight their strengths and build strategic collaborations.
Knowledge and Innovation at the Forefront
WFI 2025 will host high-level knowledge sessions and panel discussions featuring global thought leaders, policymakers, and industry experts. Sectoral exhibitions will spotlight innovations in food processing, packaging, machinery, cold chain, and allied industries.
The event also promises rich culinary experiences and chef competitions, celebrating India’s diverse food heritage while showcasing global trends in healthy, sustainable, and futuristic foods.
Parallel International Events
Two prestigious events will run alongside WFI 2025:
- The 3rd Global Food Regulators Summit organised by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
- The 24th India International Seafood Show (IISS) hosted by the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI), which will focus on boosting India’s seafood export potential and strengthening global market linkages.
Strategic Vision – Viksit Bharat 2047
WFI 2025 forms a key part of Viksit Bharat 2047, which envisions India as a developed, inclusive, and globally competitive nation. Anchored on five pillars – sustainability, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, global leadership, and innovation – the event aims to:
- Boost rural prosperity
- Enhance farmer incomes
- Reduce post-harvest losses
- Create jobs in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities
- Promote climate-smart technologies and nutrition-focused products
- Integrate India into global food markets
This year’s edition will see New Zealand and Saudi Arabia as Partner Countries, while Japan, UAE, Vietnam, and Russia will participate as Focus Countries. This reflects India’s growing cooperation in the global food sector and will strengthen bilateral relations, enhance knowledge exchange, and open new opportunities for trade and investment.
World Food India 2025 is not just an event – it is a global showcase of India’s ambition to lead in food processing and sustainability. With participation from over 90 countries and an emphasis on innovation, investment, and entrepreneurship, WFI 2025 sets a new benchmark in India’s journey to becoming a Global Food Hub.
