World EV Day: Ampere Nexus Scooter Gets Smarter With Next-Gen Tech

Ampere has given its flagship electric scooter, the Nexus, a major technology boost, which makes everyday rides smarter and safer. Ampere Nexus is already known as India’s Electric Scooter of the Year and holds five national records, now comes loaded with new-age features under its upgraded Nex.IO platform.

At the core of this upgrade is Map Mirroring Technology, which means you can see full-screen navigation right on the scooter’s big 7-inch display. It shows directions, estimated time of arrival (ETA), and even the distance to your next turn. Basically, it makes city commuting or long rides way less easy and effortless.

The Nexus scooter will also act almost like a smart gadget on wheels. Riders get an advanced dashboard to check speed, battery, and more, call notifications with controls, and even music connectivity. Your playlist plays on your scooter, with the option to pause or skip tracks directly from the handlebar. Safety has been given a big development with real-time alerts, service reminders, and app-based monitoring via the Ampere Connect companion app.

Ram Rajappa, COO of Greaves Electric Mobility, said, “With the introduction of Nex.IO, Nexus now comes with various tech innovations, elevating the riding experience by bringing next-gen digital features into the hands of our customers. This makes Nexus not just an award-winning scooter, but also a more attractive offering. It highlights Ampere’s focus on real-world performance, safety, and design, and reflects our aim to democratize smart, sustainable mobility across India while keeping customer delight at the core.”

The Ampere Nexus isn’t just about technology but it is also proving its toughness. Recently, this tough two wheeler made history by becoming the first-ever electric scooter to climb up to Shipki La Pass at 13,200 ft, which is just 200 meters from the LOC.
