During the World Economic Forum-2026, Madhya Pradesh officials held a meeting with Mr. Sanjay Gupta, President of Google Asia Pacific Region, in Davos on Tuesday. In the meeting, IT, ITES sector and proposed data center projects in the state were discussed in detail. During this, Shri Gupta expressed interest in investing in these areas in Madhya Pradesh.
IT and data center investment prospects
In the meeting, officials shared information about IT infrastructure, policy support and investment friendly environment available in Madhya Pradesh. There was also a detailed discussion on the proposed data center projects in the state, in which the possibilities of long-term investment and technological expansion came to the fore.
Dialogue on the use of Gemini AI in agriculture and education
Views were also shared on the possibilities of implementing innovation and digital solutions in agriculture and education sectors through Google’s Gemini AI. There was discussion on providing modern technology to farmers and students through these techniques.
Green energy based policy will provide sustainable power supply
New and Renewable Energy Minister Shri Rakesh Shukla and senior officials of the state were present in the meeting. The state government informed that a green energy based policy is being prepared to ensure adequate and continuous power supply for IT and data center projects.
Madhya Pradesh ready to meet the needs of global companies
Officials said that Madhya Pradesh has favorable policy framework, technical support and flexible administrative approach, which is capable of meeting the specific requirements of global companies like Google.
Consensus on development of Madhya Pradesh as a technical center
Google Asia Pacific President Mr. Sanjay Gupta agreed to cooperate in developing Madhya Pradesh as an emerging technology hub through IT infrastructure, digital innovation and skill development.
