India A Women vs Nepal Women: India A’s dominance continues in the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament being played in Bangkok. In the Group A match, India A defeated Nepal by 7 wickets and with this it also entered the semi-finals. Two spinners wrote the script of India A’s victory. Left arm spinner Tanuja Kanwar and off spinner Minnu Mani together took 7 wickets against Nepal. Nepal team could play only 18 overs and were bundled out for 78 runs.

Tanuja-Minnu heavy on Nepal

Minnu and Tanuja Kanwar wreaked havoc on the Nepal team. These two players showed the way to the pavilion for the first 7 players of Nepal. Minnu took 3 wickets for just 8 runs in 4 overs, while Tanuja took 4 wickets for 12 runs. Captain Radha Yadav took 2 wickets for 17 runs.

Win in just 47 balls

Chasing the target of just 79 runs, the India A team did not face any problem in achieving victory. Diya Yadav was out for just 2 runs but Vrinda Dinesh scored 39 runs in 18 balls with 9 fours, which was enough for Nepal’s defeat. Anushka Sharma was out after scoring 10 runs and Tejal was out after scoring 18 runs. But Team India won this match in just 7.5 overs. Now India A will play the semi-final match on 20th February.

The credit for taking India A to the semi-finals goes to Vrinda Dinesh who has scored 110 runs in 3 matches at an average of 110. The amazing thing is that his strike rate is also more than 180. Apart from him, Anushka Sharma has contributed 81 runs. In bowling, Tanuja Kanwar and Radha Yadav have taken 5-5 wickets for India A.
