New Delhi: The much awaited third and final season of South Korean global phenomenon, the survival thriller TV series Squid Games is back. The Squid Games 3, created by South Korean writer and television producer Hwang Dong-hyuk, is set to be released on Netflix, on June 27, 2025.
Squid Games has been able to establish itself as a one-of-a-kind global phenomenon, loved by people across geographies and ages. After the success of the first season of Squid Games, it returned for another season which saw stakes rise and the game becoming more difficult and dark. As the brutality of the new games introduced rose, as did the moral risks associated with them, Season 3 has fans in high expectations. The stakes are only expected to rise and many of the characters loved by the fans are also about to make a comeback.
Returning players for Season 3
There will be a number of players who had survived in the earlier two iterations of the Squid Games and would be returning to play the game for yet another time, these inlcude:

Non-player characters returning
Apart from returning player characters, some non-player characters are also set to make an appearance in the coming season of Squid Games. These include the masked overseer controlling the operations of the games, Lee Byung Hun. Hwang Jun Ho, the undercover police officer is also expected to return as the character of Kang No Eul (Soldier 011), a figure operating within the game’s internal hierarchy.
