Ghaziabad Spy Network Busted: A big revelation has been made about the spying network in Ghaziabad. Kaushambi police has arrested three more accused including a woman and a minor. It is alleged that the gang was sending information to Pakistan by installing solar CCTV cameras at sensitive places. So far 18 people have been arrested.

According to the police, the arrested minor played an important role in installing cameras at sensitive places. Through these cameras, activities at many important places were monitored and information was sent to people sitting abroad.

Solar cameras installed at sensitive places

Investigation has revealed that this gang was spying on many sensitive places in the country. These included military bases, railway stations and other important places. According to the police, the accused had installed solar powered CCTV cameras at many places. The pictures and live location recorded through these cameras were allegedly sent to the handlers sitting in Pakistan.

Suspected of being linked to Red Fort blast

Investigating agencies suspect that the links of this network may also be linked to the explosion that took place in Delhi last year. Initial investigation has revealed that some members of the gang had prior knowledge about that incident. Many important revelations have been made during the interrogation of Suhail Malik alias Romeo, the accused arrested earlier in this case. During interrogation, he told that he had prior knowledge of the explosion and had reached the spot after the incident. From there he took many photos and videos and sent them to his foreign contacts.

Youth were made part of the network by trapping them.

Investigation has also revealed that the gang especially tried to involve such youth who do not have any criminal record and who are very young in age. Such youth were made part of the network by giving them small responsibilities. The arrested minor had also come in contact with this gang and used to install cameras at sensitive places.

18 accused arrested so far

After the revelation of the espionage network, security agencies have become alert across the country. Many teams are continuously taking action in Uttar Pradesh also. According to the police, till now a total of 18 accused have been arrested in this case. Recently, Kaushambi police station has arrested three more people, including a woman and a minor.

Search continues for remaining gang members

Police are now interrogating these accused and trying to find out how many more people of this network are active in Ghaziabad and surrounding districts. Besides, it is also being investigated whether this gang is connected to other cities of the country also. Security agencies say that the investigation is still going on and there may be more big revelations in this matter in the coming days.
