Recently, Chef Kunal Kapoor has shared the recipe of Doodhdi on his Instagram. In this video, Kunal tells that, this was made in his house every winter. Which gives warmth to the body. It is so powerful that it is even given to wrestlers. Let us know how to make it.
How to make Doodhdi
Kunal explains, to make this, soak couscous, cashew nuts, almonds and melon seeds in water for 1 hour. After this, put them together in a blender jar. After this, blend them with makhana and milk. If you want, you can keep it coarse or you can also make a smooth paste. Now place the pan on the gas and add 1-2 spoons of ghee in it. Now add paste in ghee and fry it well. You have to fry this paste well until it turns brown. Remember, the more it is roasted, the better it will taste.
After it turns brown, take out the paste and let it cool. Let us tell you that you can also store this mixture in the refrigerator for up to 1 month. Now boil milk in a pan for further process. After this add milk mixture in it. Add cardamom powder and sugar on top. Cook all this till it comes to a boil and your winter milk is ready.
What are the benefits of Punjabi Doodhi?
Ayurveda expert Kiran Gupta says that Punjabi Doodhi is a good drink to drink in winter. Many dry fruits and couscous are added to it, due to which it is nutritious and gives strength to the body.
