Wash and dry completely

Therefore, whenever you keep them, wash the blanket, quilt, sweater and jacket first and then dry them completely in good sunlight. This reduces the risk of insects.

Before storing, keep the clothes in bright sunlight for 23 hours. Sunlight eliminates moisture present in clothes and protects against bacteria and fungus. Due to this, when the clothes are taken out in the next winter, there is no dampness or strange smell and the clothes remain wearable.
How to protect yourself from insects
When woolen clothes, quilts and blankets are taken out in winter, they become infested with termites or small insects. If you want to protect them from insects, then keep naphthalene balls, camphor or dry neem leaves between the clothes. It protects clothes from moths, termites and other insects. Keep in mind that do not keep naphthalene directly on the clothes, but keep it tied in a small cloth or paper.
