Prior to Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the Congress clarified that there is no relation to the inclusion of Owaisi’s party in the Grand Alliance. Negotiations on seat sharing are going on and a final announcement is expected by 15 September.

The political stir has once again intensified for Bihar assembly elections 2025. After the Congress meeting in the capital Delhi, discussion is in full swing about the nature of the Grand Alliance and the possible colleagues. Meanwhile, Bihar in-charge Krishna Alavaru made it clear that the Congress has nothing to do with the discussions of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s party in the grand alliance.

Krishna Alavaru told the media that Owaisi has written a letter to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav to join the Grand Alliance, but the Congress has no direct relation in this matter. He said, “This letter has been written to Lalu ji, so he or other RJD leaders have to clarify it.”

Krishna Alavaru also commented on other possible parties to be included in the Grand Alliance. He said that positive talks are going on about Pashupati Kumar Paras’ party and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). There is a possibility of formal announcement in this direction soon.

Regarding seat sharing, the Congress in -charge said that the party has submitted the list of its seats to national president Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. In the meeting, this issue is being discussed in detail at the level of the Coordination Committee. He assured that by September 15, all the things about seat sharing will be clear and the grand alliance will contest the election with full strong.

It has become clear from Krishna Alavaru’s statement that the Congress is adopting a flexible attitude towards seat sharing and include Owaisi’s party in the grand alliance will depend on the decision of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. Originally, all parties will unite and formulate an election strategy to strengthen the grand alliance in Bihar and face the challenge of the NDA.
