In Bahraich, a man killed his wife on suspicion of having an affair and buried her body in the house. On the information of the woman’s brother, the police recovered the body and arrested the accused.
Bahraich: A 48-year-old man, who murdered his wife and buried her body at home on suspicion of her having an affair with someone else, has been arrested. This incident took place in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. The name of the deceased is Phoolam Devi. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ramanand Prasad Kushwaha said that the accused Harikishan has been arrested. The woman had gone missing on 6 October. Subsequently, her brother lodged a police complaint on October 13.
Subsequently, last Friday the woman’s brother noticed a freshly dug pit under the bed of the accused. He immediately informed the police about this. After this, the police reached the spot and dug into the room and found the decomposed body of Phoolam Devi. The body was buried in a six feet deep pit. Police said that by the time they arrived, the accused had fled the house.
Later the police found the accused. He was a daily wage laborer in Haryana. The accused confessed that he had come home on leave when he came to know that his wife was having an affair with a local man named Guddu. In this anger he committed murder. Police said that the accused has been produced in the court and sent to jail.
