A serious case of domestic violence has come to light from the capital where a disabled woman has accused her own husband of forcibly having physical relations with her, doing obscene acts in front of the children and assaulting her.
Fed up with the harassment, the female friend reached the One Stop Center and pleaded for justice. The victim says that her husband comes home everyday under the influence of alcohol and tries to remove her clothes or forcibly touch her in front of the children. When she protests, she is beaten. The woman says that she can no longer live with this torture.
Claim of relationship with another woman
The woman alleged that the husband had an illicit relationship with another woman. He used to leave the house saying that he was going to pull a rickshaw but later the neighbors came to know that he lived with another woman. The victim claimed that she also saw her husband red-handed in an objectionable position with another woman.
Husband called the allegations false
Whereas husband Vishnu (36) has termed all the allegations as false. He says that his wife has relations with other men and due to this there are disputes in the house. He alleged that the wife had also assaulted the daughter.
One Stop Center action
Sakhi One Stop Center counselor Shilpi Kumari said that the woman had reached the center in a critical condition on December 2. He had a head injury and was bleeding. First medical aid was given and then counseling was started. The investigation and further legal process of the case is ongoing.
