Wi-Fi Ban: Taliban has completely banned fiber optic internet and Wi-Fi in Balkh province of Afghanistan. However, mobile internet will still be operational, so that people will continue to get internet facilities to some extent.
Wi-Fi Ban: Today the whole world is moving forward in the race to be digital, but Afghanistan has become a country where the government is running in the opposite direction. Here fiber optic internet i.e. Wi-Fi has been completely discontinued. This ban has been implemented in the Northern Balkh province on the orders of Hibetullah Akhundzada, the supreme leader of the Taliban. Now Wi-Fi internet will not be used in government offices, private institutions, schools and homes of this province.
Mobile internet will remain on
The Taliban government has said that despite the ban on Wi-Fi, mobile internet will still be operational. Provincial spokesperson Haji Ataullah Zaid said that cable internet will no longer be available in Balkh province. He also said that alternative arrangements will be made within the country to meet the needs of the people. After coming to power in August 2021, the Taliban imposed several social and cultural rules, but this is the first time that such a huge ban has been imposed on the Internet. This decision will harm schools, colleges and business institutions. Domestic and international communication will be affected.

School, hospital and business will affect
The Taliban says that this step has been taken to prevent immoral works and protect Islamic values. But critics consider it wrong and say that this will make Afghanistan more isolated from the world. This decision will affect school, hospital and business. The freedom to get information and speak of people will also be reduced.
