Why were even the kings afraid of Shishupala’s fate? Why was Krishna forgiving his 100 mistakes by counting them? – News Himachali News Himachali

Shri Krishna is considered the guide of the entire world, protector of justice and protector of religion. This is the reason why people often wonder that if Krishna was so just, then why did he give so much leeway to a person like Shishupala? After all, why did they not say anything to him until 100 crimes were committed? What was the reason that the same Krishna, who never tolerated wrong, kept forgiving Shishupala’s mistakes after counting them? There is not only an emotional story hidden behind this fort, but also a deep lesson. As bitter as the character of Shishupala appears in the Mahabharata, the story related to his birth is equally heart touching. The untoward incident associated with his birth gave a different turn to Shri Krishna’s decision. For this reason, Shri Krishna maintained silence on Shishupala’s mistakes until the count of his abuses reached 100.

Today we will understand the same story in simple and clear words –
Why did Shri Krishna give exemption from 100 crimes to Shishupala?
And what was the moment when Krishna ended his life?

Amazing and scary birth of Shishupala
Shishupala was the son of Krishna’s aunt. He was born in very strange circumstances. When he was born, he had three eyes and four hands. Seeing this, his parents got scared and wondered whether this child was a sign of some big trouble. At the same time, a voice came from the sky that this child should not be left, because when the time comes, one of his hands and one eye will automatically disappear. It was also told that the person whose extra organs would disappear as soon as he came into his lap would end his life.

A miracle happened as soon as he came into the lap of Shri Krishna.
-After some time, when Shishupala was placed in Krishna’s lap, the same thing happened which was warned in the oracle.
-One of his eyes and one hand disappeared. Seeing this, Krishna’s aunt became very scared. He requested Krishna to save his son and forgive his mistakes.

Shri Krishna calmed his aunt and said-
“I will forgive 100 mistakes of Shishupal, but on the 101st mistake he will not be able to escape punishment.”

This promise was a combination of love and responsibility in Krishna’s mind.

Shishupala’s increasing resentment towards Rukmani
Shishupala was a very close friend of Rukmani’s brother Rukm. Shishupal wanted to marry Rukmani and Rukm was also happy with this relationship, but Rukmani’s parents were against this marriage. He wanted to get his daughter married to Shri Krishna. After this, events changed in such a way that Rukmani forcibly arranged the marriage of her sister with Shishupala, but Rukmani sent a message to Krishna and Krishna took her with him and married her. From here, anger and hatred for Krishna increased in Shishupala’s mind.

Shishupal’s bitter words in Rajsuya Yagya
When Yudhishthira became king, he organized Rajasuya Yagya. Big kings were invited in it, which included Krishna and Shishupala.
When Yudhishthir honored Krishna during the yagya, Shishupala became enraged.

He started abusing Krishna in the same meeting.
Krishna remained calm because he had taken a promise from his aunt.
Shishupala kept abusing one after another and Krishna kept counting them in his mind.

101st mistake and attack of Sudarshan Chakra
When Shishupala had uttered 100 abuses and was about to utter the 101st abuse, Krishna lifted his Sudarshan Chakra.
As soon as the 101st insult was done, Krishna turned the wheel and killed Shishupala.

This was the moment when Krishna fulfilled both his promise and his duty.
