NDA suffered a major setback in Bihar Election 2025 when the nomination of Lok Janshakti Party candidate Bhojpuri actress Seema Singh from Madhaura seat was canceled due to irregularities in the documents. This has brought about a change in the political environment.
NDA has suffered a big setback during the nomination for Bihar Election 2025. The Election Commission has canceled the nomination of Bhojpuri actress and dancer Seema Singh, who contested the elections from Chirag Paswan’s party Lok Janshakti. Paswan had made him a candidate from Marhaura seat. But the returning officer declared Seema Singh ineligible to contest the elections and canceled her nomination. Now the contest on this seat is left between Jitendra Rai of Tejashwi Yadav’s party RJD and Abhay Singh standing from Prashant Kishore’s party Jansuraj. Because apart from Seema Singh, three other nominations have also been canceled from this seat, including that of former JDU district president Altaf Raju, who had stood as an independent.
Why was Seema Singh’s nomination canceled?
Actually, Seema Singh had given details of her education and assets during her nomination. In this he had claimed that he had studied till 9th class. But the returning officer found discrepancies in his documents, following which his nomination was rejected. Being a Bhojpuri actress and dancer, Seema Singh was considered a very strong candidate for NDA. NDA has apparently suffered huge losses due to the cancellation of his nomination.
