Why Was Salman Khan-Varun Dhawan’s Cameo Scene Deleted From Bharat? Assistant Director Spills Beans

Main toh superman, Salman Khan ka fan… – if these words fit anyone in the industry perfectly, it’s Varun Dhawan. The duo share a special bond and have known each other long before collaborating for exciting cameos.

However, when VD’s scene from Bharat was abruptly removed from the final cut, fans were left confused. Although the two later came together in Baby John, the reason behind the decision had remained under wraps. But now, assistant director Ravi Chhabriya has finally spilled the tea.

Why Was Varun Dhawan Bharat Cameo Scene Deleted?

Ravi, who has worked as an AD on Sultan (2016), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Bharat (2019), told Bollywood Hungama, “I guess it’s upto producer Atul Agnihotri sir. I have no idea if they are planning to put it out on YouTube. We shot the scene and during the final cut, it was decided to get it out.”

Revealing details of the cameo, he added, “It appears when Bharat is working in the oil field in the Middle East. There was a scene where Salman sir’s character and Varun’s character came together. It was a fun scene. Dono panja ladate hai.”

Varun Dhawan-Salman Khan Bond

VD has always been vocal about being a die-hard Salman Khan fan, and their bond goes beyond the screen. From personal admiration to professional collaborations, the duo share a warm camaraderie in Bollywood.

Last year, talking about sharing the screen with Bhaijaan, he said, “I think whenever you get a chance to work with such a big superstar, a megastar, such a magnanimous human being, it’s amazing.”
