The woman and both the girls are now kept in protective custody at the Women’s Receipt Center at Karwar. The police have started the process of sending them back to Russia by contacting FRRO (Foreigners Registration Office) in Bangalore in this regard. Soon the woman and her children will be taken to Bangalore, where a final decision will be taken on their legal status.
