Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are one of the biggest power couples in the country. While Kohli is one of India’s greatest cricketers of all time, Anushka is regarded as one of Bollywood’s top actresses.

Wherever the duo go, a lot of fanfare follows. In fact, there is not a single place in India where they would not be spotted amidst a massive crowd. However, it has now been revealed that the two stars were once kicked out of a cafe in New Zealand, as revealed by star India women’s batter Jemimah Rodrigues.

In an interaction on Mashable India, Jemimah Rodrigues revealed that once when the men’s and women’s cricket teams were in the same hotel in New Zealand, and she and Smriti Mandhana asked for some batting tips from Virat Kohli. He then asked them to come down to the hotel cafe, where bith him and Anushka were sitting. There, the star India batter gave them some valuable advice.

“So once we were in New Zealand. The men and the women’s team were staying in the same hotel. So, Smriti and I asked Virat if we could talk to him about batting. He was like, oh please come and then he was like come to the cafe down,” Rodrigues said.

“So that time Anushka was also there. So the first half of an hour we spoke about cricket And he actually told Smriti and me that, you both have the power to change women’s cricket. And I can see that happening. You know, to just take up that responsibility and what change you can do is going to be big and massive,” she added.
 ‘Cafe Guys Kicked Us Out’

Jemimah Rodriguez said that they went on to speak for four hours till 11`.30 PM. After that the cafe authorities were forced to ask them to leave as it was past closing time.

“So, that’s what he told us, and a lot of batting and stuff like that we spoke. Then after that, we just spoke about life. Like if you know some long-lost friends meet and speak, we spoke for 4 hours – four hours just random stuff. And the only reason we stopped was that the cafe guys kicked us out. ‘That’s enough. It’s 11:30. Leave now’,” Rodrigues recalled.
