Who cursed Ravan: Ravana, the king of Lanka, was a great warrior. Ravana was the conqueror of Trilok. Ravana had received many boons from Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva. According to Chapter 26 and Verse 39 of Uttarakand of Valmiki Ramayana, once Ravana had gone to meet his step brother Kuber. Kuber’s city Alaka was in heaven. Ravana had found the nymph Rambha there. Seeing the beauty of Rambha, Ravana became infatuated with her. After this Ravana started misbehaving with Rambha. Rambha opposed Ravana.
Kuber ji’s son had cursed Ravana
Rambha told Ravana that she was the future wife of Nalkuber, son of her brother Kuber. She told Ravana that she seemed to be his daughter-in-law in relation, but Ravana still misbehaved with Rambha. When Nalakuber, son of Ravana’s step brother Kuberji, came to know about Ravana’s misbehavior with Rambha, he cursed Ravana.
Ravana did not touch Mother Sita
Nalkuber told Ravana that if he now touches any woman without her consent, his head will be broken into 100 pieces. After this Ravana never tried to touch any woman without her consent. Ravana had abducted Mother Sita and took her to Lanka, but never touched her.
