First mythology
It is said that Mahadev was a devotee of Lord Shiva, he was an exclusive devotee of Lord Shiva and went to Shiva temple every day and worshiped Lord Shiva as well as Nag Devta. Pleased with this devotion, one day the serpent deity himself appeared and came to the devotee and sat down when Mahadev’s sister saw that a snake was coming near my brother, then he killed that Nag with a stick. Since then, the tradition of beating sister Swaroop doll is going on.
Second mythology
At the same time, people believe that a siblings used to love each other and they used to go for Shiva temple worship. One day, pleased with his devotion, the serpent god came and sat there. So, the sister’s eye opened and he saw that the snake was sitting near my brother, then he killed the snake with a pole, the priest sitting there said that now your sister will have to go through a snake defect. The brother loved his sister a lot, so he told the priest that any one can free my sister from the curse, then he told him a solution. He said that if you make a doll of a cloth and beat him 11 times straight and went upside down 11 times and later press it into the soil, after that you worship the serpent god, then your sister will get rid of the snake defect. The brother did the same and saved his sister from snake defect. Since then, this day started being celebrated as Gudiya festival.
