Retired Major Vikrant Jaitly, brother of Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly, has been in UAE jail for 444 days. At the same time, Celina herself is going through a family crisis and has also talked about the problems she is facing with her husband.
Bollywood actress and former Miss India Celina Jaitly is going through a lot of pain these days. His brother, retired Major Vikrant Kumar Jaitley, has been lodged in a UAE jail for the last few months. Celina is not getting any new news about him. Celina is very worried about her brother’s condition. He recently shared a social media post regarding this. He told that it has been 444 days since his brother Vikrant was kidnapped abroad and expressed concern about his brother’s safety.
Celina has written a long post while sharing a picture with her brother. The actress wrote – “From the battlefield to the jail, this is the untold pain of an Indian soldier. 444 days have passed without my brother. It has been 1 year, 2 months, 17 days, i.e. a total of 443 days, since my brother Major Vikrant Kumar Jaitley (Retd) was kidnapped. There was no contact with anyone for eight months, then I came to know that he has been imprisoned somewhere in the Middle East. Because of this my I’m waiting to hear his voice, to see his face, because I know what he said on that last call, which was more painful than words.

Celina Jaitley has shared a post on Instagram, in which she has told that when she last spoke to her brother, his voice was full of pain and that voice is still echoing in her ears. “I have more questions than answers, feeling very scared every moment. Major Vikrant Jaitley spent his entire youth in the service of the country. He was also injured several times in the line of duty. Now, when India is on the way to becoming a global leader, our soldiers are being targeted abroad. This is no longer just a personal matter. This trend of attacking our soldiers is increasing. Is it now becoming a threat to our own national security? We have to ask this question. We should demand answers and not back down.”
Why was Celina’s brother Vikrant arrested? Vikrant has been living in UAE since 2016. Celina recently told the court that she was arrested in 2024 citing national security concerns. During the hearing, the Delhi High Court directed the concerned authorities to provide effective legal aid to Vikrant in the UAE. In her petition, the actress had also sought legal help for her brother in UAE.
