How to take care of dull skin
After Diwali, some people feel that their skin has become slightly dull. The face starts looking tired and lifeless. Is this happening with you too? Experts say that the reason for this is not only pollution, dust and smoke, but there are also changes taking place inside the body which affect the moisture and glow of the skin. Due to this, the face starts looking slightly dull after Diwali.
Dr. Soumya Sachdeva, Dermatologist at Max Hospital, says that some people eat more sweets on Diwali. This speeds up the process of glycation in the body. This causes damage to the skin cells and the skin starts looking loose and dull. Excessive inflammation in the body also causes the skin to appear dull. Pollution is also a reason for dull skin after Diwali. This is because the sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides present in pollution harm the skin and make the face look dull and lifeless. If you are also facing this problem then it could be due to these reasons.
Skin moisture starts decreasing
Dr. Soumya says that at this time the increasing pollution and toxins present in the smoke of firecrackers also affect the skin. They snatch away the moisture from the skin and also block the pores. Because of this, the process of cell repair slows down due to which the face looks lifeless. This happens more with those people who stay out of the house for a long time during Diwali or at the time of this pollution and do not cover their faces. Dr. Soumya says that at this time, hydration, cleaning and antioxidant diet are very important to maintain the glow of the skin.
