MP Police stopped a bike rider without a helmet. Due to his large head, no helmet would fit him. Instead of imposing fine, the police appealed to the companies to make bigger helmets, after which the companies promised help.
Indore (16 December): It is mandatory for two-wheeler riders and pillion riders to wear helmets. There is no exemption for anyone in this. There is sure to be a fine for driving without a helmet. But here a bike rider was caught by the traffic police and asked, ‘Brother, where is your helmet?’. But after listening to the bike rider, the police let him go without imposing any fine. This video is creating quite a stir. In this video, the police has also made a special appeal. This incident happened in Madhya Pradesh.
The rider came on TVS bike without helmet
As usual, Madhya Pradesh Traffic Police was standing on the road to check violations of traffic rules. They were stopping many two-wheeler riders, cars and other drivers passing through this route and checking documents like insurance, emissions, seat belts, helmets and other documents. Meanwhile, a person came on a TVS bike. Despite the police standing by, he was coming comfortably without any helmet, which was stopped by the police. After stopping the bike rider, the police asked about the helmet.
Police surprised to hear bike rider’s answer
The person who came on the bike without a helmet was a common man. When he was asked where the helmet was, he did not call anyone for help. Instead, he said, ‘Sir, a helmet of my head size is not available in any city, sir.’ After listening to him, the traffic police became suspicious as to how this could happen. So he gave him the helmet he kept with him to wear. But that man’s head was so big that he could not wear a helmet. The helmet fell short on his head. Seeing this the traffic police could not stop laughing. The police who were about to impose the fine finally made a special appeal.

Talking in the video about the common man who was unable to wear a helmet, the police said, ‘I make an appeal to all helmet companies. Please make bigger sized helmets for more people like them. Many people like Dada have big head size. They cannot wear helmets. Helmet is very important from safety point of view. Therefore, please make bigger size helmets,’ the police appealed.
The company offered to gift a helmet
This video has become very viral. It has received more than 2.6 crore views and 1.2 lakh comments. Many people have said that they too have a similar problem. Meanwhile, a user commented, ‘Uncle got premium discount on challan.’ At the same time, the famous helmet company ‘Steel-Bird’ has talked about gifting helmets. Commenting on the video, the company said, ‘We want to gift a helmet to this person. If anyone has his contact please let me know. Meanwhile, ‘Vega’ helmet company said, ‘We have accepted this challenge.’
