Why did Rani Mukherji shed tears before the release of Mardaani 3, who supported her husky voice?

Rani Mukherjee’s Mardaani 3 is going to be released on 30th January. Earlier, during a heart-touching conversation with Karan Johar, Rani Mukherjee got emotional while remembering the shooting and dubbing of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. 

 

Senior actress Rani Mukherjee has completed 30 years in Bollywood. Recently during a conversation with Karan Johar, Rani became emotional while remembering the shooting of the trailer of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. He had tears in his eyes while narrating about the shooting and dubbing of the scene. Seeing this, Karan tried to normalize her by hugging her.

Karan further told in the conversation that Aditya Chopra played the most important role in Rani and her film journey. Then she told that the teaser was shot in front of a blue screen, where Rani is sitting with baby Anjali.

Recalling her first film, Rani said that Aditya had come to her and asked if she had any problem with dubbing, as there were discussions going on about her husky voice…The actress remembered that he had said, "No, I have no problem with dubbing." When asked if she had dubbed for her first film, Rani replied to Aditya, “Of course, I had dubbed for my film.” Rani became emotional during this, with tears in her eyes remembering Aditya. Aditya had said that he likes Rani’s voice very much and he will do dubbing for her film. Wiping her tears the queen said, "Thank you Karen, it is only because of you that I was able to save my voice." Karan further said that Rani’s voice is very beautiful.

Karan remembered that a distributor had told him and his father that her voice should be changed. But he refused to do so, because one’s voice cannot be changed. She also remembered that her father had narrated an anecdote in which he was asked to change the voice of Amitabh Bachchan, but he did not do so, and then Bachchan became famous.

Rani thanked Karan for playing the important role and said, "You know we are joking about this today, but your decision as a young filmmaker, this was your first film and you could have easily been influenced by the pressure that came on you, but you stuck to your guns and that is why he is Karan Johar." He also thanked Karan for helping him maintain his identity in the industry.
