UNSC: Instead of decision, it became only a platform for debate.
It is the responsibility of the United Nations Security Council to maintain peace in the world, but it proved to be completely ineffective in this conflict. The real problem was its veto power, where permanent members like America, Russia and China kept blocking decisions according to their own interests. Whenever any concrete proposal came, some country or the other vetoed it. The result was that the Security Council was limited to making statements only and no impact was seen on the ground level. The work that this organization was supposed to do to stop the increasing tension between Iran and America could not be done, due to which the war continued to drag on.
