Why are preparations being made to demolish Al Falah Chairman’s ancestral house, Maulana Building in MP?

Breaking: Notice to demolish “Maulana Building”, the ancestral home of Al Falah University Chairman Jawad Siddiqui in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, terming it as illegal construction. Family under investigation, brother Hamood arrested in old fraud case. The matter is getting deeper.

New Delhi/Bhopal. Mohammad Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, Chairman of Al Falah University located in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, is once again in the headlines. This time the reason is his family’s old four-storey “Maulana’s building”, which the Mhow Cantonment Board has issued a final notice to demolish, terming it an illegal construction. This is the same building which was built by Jawad’s father, late Mohammad Hammad Siddiqui, in the 1990s and which is still counted among the most special places of Kayastha area. The sudden action on this building with more than 25 windows and a large basement has raised many questions.

Was Maulana’s building really illegal?

Cantonment Board Engineer Harishankar Kaloya said that even today the building is registered in the name of Jawad Siddiqui’s late father Mohammad Hammad Siddiqui. According to Cantonment law, any kind of repair, renovation or construction without transfer of ownership, without official permission and without a registered titleholder is considered illegal. Since the building has been abandoned for more than 20 years and the ownership has not been updated, the entire construction is considered an “unauthorized structure.”

Why was the investigation intensified? Module related to Al Falah University increased the problem

Recently, the alleged links of two doctors associated with Al Falah Medical College, Faridabad with the terrorist module were revealed. After the suspicion of November 10 blast near Red Fort, Delhi, the name of Siddiqui family has again come on the radar of investigating agencies. Meanwhile, the timing of the action on the family building in Mhow is increasing the discussion even more.

Jawad’s brother Hamood arrested – old fraud cases reopened

This week the police arrested Jawad’s younger brother Hamood Ahmed Siddiqui from Hyderabad. He was wanted in several investment fraud cases registered in Mhow in 2000. According to the police, they caused loss of lakhs to many Army and MES employees by luring them with high returns through fake firms. In Hyderabad, he was running a stock market firm with a new identity and even getting gas cylinders delivered to fake addresses so that no one would know the real location.

Is Maulana Building certain to collapse?

The notice is final and the structure will be considered completely ‘unauthorized’ until the ownership is updated. Now further action will depend on the response of Siddiqui family. If the family does not produce valid documents, the Cantonment Board can take action any day.
