Mumbai got defeated in front of the roar of Delhi

Yesterday’s first match was played between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. In this match, Delhi won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved to be absolutely correct. Suryakumar Yadav took command of the team in the absence of regular captain Hardik Pandya. Surya scored a brilliant 51 runs and Rohit Sharma added 35 runs, but Mumbai team could score only 162 runs in 20 overs. Chasing the target of 163 runs, Delhi had a good start, but the real work was done by ‘impact player’ Sameer Rizvi. Sameer played an explosive inning of 90 runs in just 51 balls. Thanks to his fifty, Delhi won the match by 6 wickets in just 18.1 overs.

Rajasthan Royals became number-1

The second match of the day took place between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad. This match went till the last ball and made the fans’ heartbeats faster. The match between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans was worth the money. Batting first, Rajasthan scored a big score of 210 runs. Dhruv Jurel and Yashasvi Jaiswal played brilliant innings for the team, due to which the team came in a strong position. But the real drama started when Gujarat came out to bat.

How did Gujarat lose a match which it had won for 10 overs?

Gujarat had scored 100+ runs in just 10 overs and the match seemed to be completely under their control. But as soon as Sai Sudarshan was out, the entire game of the match changed. Wickets kept falling one after the other and the team came under pressure. 11 runs were needed in the last over, here Tushar Deshpande did wonders. He gave just 4 runs and helped Rajasthan win by 6 runs. With its second consecutive win, Rajasthan has now reached the top. This is Gujarat’s second defeat, due to which the team has slipped down.
