Gujarat Titans innings: Challenging score of 162 runs
Batting first, Gujarat Titans scored 162/6 in 20 overs. Shubhman Gill scored 39 runs, Jos Buttler scored 38 runs and Glenn Phillips scored 25 runs. Vijaykumar Vaishakh took 3 wickets in bowling for Punjab. Whereas, Yuzvendra Chahal got 2 wickets and Marco Jansen got 1 wicket.
Bad start for Punjab Kings, then the innings got better
Chasing the target of 162 runs, Punjab did not have a good start. Priyansh Arya was out on 7 runs. After this Prabhsimran Singh (37) and Cooper Connolly took over the innings. The team’s score in the powerplay was 55/1, but wickets kept falling continuously in the middle overs. Shreyas Iyer was out after scoring 18 runs.
