In a heartwarming throwback, celebrity mehendi artist Veena Nagda opened up about her unforgettable experience at Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding in Italy back in 2018. Mehendi artist Veena Nagda, in a recent interview, fondly remembered the couple’s warmth, generosity, and Ranveer’s charming tribute to Deepika and her family during the mehendi ceremony. Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot on 14 November 2018 in an intimate yet grand ceremony at Lake Como, blending traditions from both sides. Their wedding video was released five years later on Koffee with Karan Season 8.

Mehendi artist Veena Nagda in a conversation with Filmibeat Prime, recalled how Ranveer made everyone feel welcome, despite the cold weather in Lake Como. “No words can do him justice,” she said. “It was freezing, and I was worried how Deepika and I would manage with such an intricate mehendi design. But then Ranveer walked in an hour later, and everything changed. The sun came out, and he lit up the entire room with his energy and jokes.”

Meanwhile, Veena also spoke about how she landed the opportunity to be part of the couple’s big day. She had previously worked with Deepika on the film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, where the actress promised to bring her on board for her wedding. Later Deepika’s team reached out before the wedding and made all arrangements for Veena and her team to travel to Italy. “They told me my stay was booked for all five days,” Veena said, initially surprised. “I asked, ‘The mehendi is just one day, why five days?’ But they said it’s all sorted, and because of that, my team and I also got to explore Milan and Switzerland. I’ll never forget that trip.”

On the other hand, n September 2024, the couple welcomed their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, sharing the news with fans via Instagram. Though they haven’t revealed their daughter’s face yet, fans continue to admire how Ranveer and Deepika keep love, respect, and family at the heart of their journey.
