In the year 2023, BCB gave a 2-year contract to Tony Hemming as a pitch curator but he left the job after just one year. After this Tony Hemming joined hands with Pakistan and stayed there for a year. After this, BCB called him back in 2025 and he was made the Head of Turf Management. His contract is till 2027 and he oversees all the international grounds of Bangladesh. Tony Humming, with his experience, made Bangladesh’s spin friendly pitches similar to Australian pitches, due to which Pakistani batting collapsed.
Pakistan’s shameful defeat
Pakistan team lost the ODI series against Bangladesh 1-2. Bangladesh won by 8 wickets in the first ODI, in this match Pakistan team was bundled out for just 114 runs. In the second ODI, Pakistan won by 128 runs but in the third ODI, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 11 runs and won the ODI series.
