Who is the richest candidate of Bihar elections 2025? Husband 177 cr. The owner-wife has only Rs 132.

BJP candidate from Munger in Bihar elections, Kumar Prannoy is the richest candidate with assets worth ₹177 crore. His wife’s assets are worth only ₹132, while Pranay has no criminal case registered against him.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Munger seat in Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Kumar Prannoy is in the headlines due to his immense wealth. The election affidavit he has filed puts him in the category of the richest candidate not only in Munger but in the entire Bihar elections. The total figure of his wealth has reached ₹1.77 billion (more than ₹177 crore), but in this rich story, the details of his wife’s declared assets are the most ‘strange’ and interesting.

Wealthy husband, wife with capital of only ₹ 132

Kumar Pranay’s total movable and immovable assets are not less than the annual turnover of a small industrial group. He has declared the gross total value of his movable assets to be around ₹83.35 crore, which includes cash, bank deposits and various investments. At the same time, the current market value of his immovable assets (lands and buildings) is approximately ₹ 169.47 crore.

In front of this huge wealth, his wife’s financial condition seems like a part of a film story. According to the affidavit, while the candidate himself is raking in billions, his wife’s declared gross movable assets are a mere Rs 132. This extraordinary difference between the wealth of husband and wife has become the most discussed topic of this election.

Income worth crores with ‘zero’ criminal background

Despite having assets worth crores and a ‘Dhankuber’ image, Kumar Prannoy’s criminal background is completely ‘zero’. He has clearly declared that there is no criminal case pending against him nor has he been convicted in any case.

On the financial front, Pranay, who owns assets worth crores, has also seen a steady increase in his income. While his income in the last five financial years, 2020-21, was ₹4.36 lakh, it has increased to ₹10.75 lakh in the latest financial year 2024-25.

BJP has fielded Kumar Prannoy from the Munger seat by canceling the ticket of the sitting MLA. This combination of clean image and huge wealth makes him one of the most interesting candidates from Munger Assembly constituency. Now what verdict the people of Munger give on this ‘crorepati’ candidate, it will become clear on the day of counting on 14th November.
