For the second time, Donald Trump, who became President of America, has created a ruckus in the whole world through tariffs. As soon as he comes, he has imposed a change tariff on many countries. These include many countries like China, Brazil and Canada. Not only this, Trump also put the burden of tariff on India, which considers America as his friend country. You will be surprised to know that Trump is taking these rampant decisions at the behest of someone else. No one else advises Trump, but Donald Trump’s trade adviser Peter Navarro.
Peter Navarro is a trade advisor of Donald Trump. According to the Financial Times, he has the brain behind Trump’s tariff policy. He had a main role in getting 50 percent tariff on India. The Navaro behind this believed that India could be pressurized to stop the purchase of oil from Russia. This may be a chance to weaken the war economy of Russia fighting the war with Ucraine. Trump had also warned India while imposing tariffs, he would have to stop the purchase of oil to Russia.
Trump imposed 50 percent tariff on India
Navaro alleged that India is getting closer to both Russia and China and should stop buying crude oil from Russia, as it is strengthening Russia’s economy, which is helpful in continuing war with Ukraine. However, in the report, Navaro did not mention why the US did not give any punishment to Russia’s biggest oil buyer China. Trump has already imposed 50% tariffs on India, out of which 25% tariffs have been imposed only because India is buying oil from Russia.

Who are Navaro?
Navaro is the father of Trump’s ‘Trade War’ policy. He is considered controversial and polarized person. He was the first professor but later became an economic nationalist. He has a PhD from Harvard to Economics, but critics say that their research level was weak and mostly biased. He taught the University of California, Irwin, but kept writing in media and books instead of academic journals. His anti-China thinking gradually confirmed and the 2011 book Death By China came out openly. It was accused of illegal export subsidy, currency manipulation and economic aggression. He also created a documentary with the same name in 2012. His hard language made him popular among the nationalists of America.
Story of joining Trump and making tariff policy
Trump’s son -in -law Jared Kushner read Death by China and included Navaro in the campaign. The Trump became Navaro Trade Advisor in the government and started writing aggressive tariff policy. He initially played an important role in Tariff War. The policy of ‘America First’ is also a result of Navaro. Due to the aggressive style of Navaro, he clashed with his own colleagues many times. In 2018, he said on the Prime Minister of Canada that there is a special place in hell for such leaders. Later apologized, but by then his image had become more controversial.
