A sex racket was exposed during a raid on a spa center in Varanasi, in which the name of BJP leader and BJP leader Shalini Yadav, who had contested elections against the PM, has come to light. Shalini has denied all the allegations, saying that she is being implicated as part of a political conspiracy.
Who is Shalini Yadav : There has been a political stir in the city after the sex racket running under the guise of a spa center in Sigra area was exposed. During the action, the matter became more heated when a flat was linked to the family of BJP leader Shalini Yadav. Shalini Yadav, who had contested the elections against PM Narendra Modi in 2019, has now broken her silence on the entire matter and called it a political conspiracy.
Big revelation under the guise of spa center in Sigra
Varanasi Police Commissionerate raided two flats registered in the name of Melody Spa Center on December 2. In this action taken on the information of prostitution, the police detained a total of 13 people including 9 women. The investigation of mobile chats, transactions and activities received from both the places is still going on.

Political uproar increased as soon as the connection of the flat came to light
The ownership of the flat where three women were recovered during the raid was said to be in the name of Shalini Yadav’s husband Arun Yadav. From here the matter takes a political turn and many misleading posts about Shalini Yadav started going viral on social media. Many people started giving political color to this matter.
“I have nothing to do with this” – Shalini Yadav’s statement
After the controversy escalated, Shalini Yadav issued a statement saying that she has no ownership or partnership in the flat where the girls were found. He said that for the last few days, his name has been wrongly linked and circulated on social media for “a few views”. Calling it against the honor of a woman, he said that his legal team is preparing a defamation case in this case.
This flat is being given on rent for 26 years – claims husband Arun Yadav
Shalini Yadav’s husband Arun Yadav told the media that the flat in Shakti Shikha Building is in his name since 1999 and he has been giving it on rent for the last 26 years. Recently this flat was given on rent through a broker to a person named Ashwini Tripathi with a duly signed agreement and notary. He said that there is no name of him in the FIR, yet wrong news is being spread due to political hatred.
Action will be taken against those spreading wrong information on social media
Shalini Yadav said in her statement that the false news and videos being spread against her are completely baseless. He told that his legal team has collected all the evidence and soon a case will be registered under defamation and IT Act. He described it as a “well-thought-out political strategy”.
Strong hold in politics: Had also contested elections against Modi
Shalini Yadav is counted among the well-known political personalities of Varanasi.
- In 2017, he contested the mayor’s election from Congress.
- In 2019, she contested the Lok Sabha elections from Varanasi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a Samajwadi Party candidate.
- Later she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
His father-in-law has also been a cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, which further increases his political influence.
