Who is Maulana Mahmood Madani: Jamiat-Ulema-e-Hind chief Maulana Mahmood Madani has sparked a new controversy with his comments on issues like Babri Masjid, triple talaq, jihad and ‘ghar wapsi’. Madani has also raised questions on the Supreme Court, the highest court of the country. The political atmosphere has once again become heated due to his recent statements. After all, we know who Maulana Madani is and what he said about the Supreme Court.
Supreme Court is working under pressure from BJP- Madani
Maulana Mahmood Madani alleged in a program organized in Bhopal on Saturday that the Supreme Court of the country is working under the pressure of the BJP central government. He mentioned decisions like Babri Masjid and triple talaq. He said, “After the verdict in Babri Masjid, triple talaq and many other cases, it seems that the court has been working under pressure from the government for some years. We have many such examples in the past too which have raised questions on the character of the court.
Only then will the Supreme Court be called ‘Supreme’
Madani said, the Supreme Court deserves to be called Supreme only when it follows the Constitution and maintains the law. If he does not do this, he does not deserve to be called ‘Supreme’.” Furthermore, he cited the increasing use of words like “Love Jihad, Land Jihad, ‘Taleem’ Jihad, ‘Spit Jihad’ and said, “Jihad” is a sacred word. It has been used in the Islamic holy book Quran to end oppression and violence.
Whenever there is oppression, there will be jihad
Madani said, “The enemies of Islam and Muslims have made ‘Jihad’ an abuse, meaning fight and violence. Words like love jihad, land jihad, ‘talim’ jihad, ‘spit’ jihad are used to insult the faith of Muslims. It is sad that those responsible in the government and media do not feel any shame in using such words. In Islam, ‘Jihad’ is mentioned in the Quran. It has been used in many ways. When it has been used for the good of society and humanity, it means ending oppression and violence.
