Who is Amit Kshatriya, the biggest responsibility assigned to NASA?

American scientist of Indian origin has got an important responsibility in the US space agency NASA. His name is Amit Kshatriya. Amit has been appointed NASA’s new exploration-focused associate administrator. This is considered to be the role of NASA’s biggest civil service.

Amit studied California Institute of Technology and University of Texas, Austin. He joined NASA in 2003 and soon became a capable flight director. It is worth noting that so far only 100 people have been able to play the role of NASA’s Mission Control Flight Director in history, and Amit is one of them.

Moon and Mars will command the mission

In the new responsibility, Amit will lead 10 NASA center directors and Associate Administrators of Mission Directorate. He will also work as NASA Chief Operating Officer and Senior Advisor. Amit was the deputy head of Moon to Mars program earlier, where he was preparing the Mission of Human Mission and future Mangal Abhiyan on the moon under the Artemis campaign. The Trump administration has also described Amit’s appointment as an important step.
